The Cliffs are located on the west coast of Ireland in County Clare. They are located one and a half hours away from Galway City and a little over an hour away from Limerick City. Although it takes over three hours to reach the cliffs from Dublin. It is 100% worth the drive. If you don’t plan on renting a car you can book a day trip with companies such as Paddy Wagon. The Only downside to these tours is the time restriction.

The Offical Cliffs of Moher car park is located on the opposite side of the road to the visitor centre. On entry to the car park, there is a charge of 6 euro per adult (4 for students). This includes entry into the visitor centre.
The Visitor Center: Cliffs of Moher day trip
The visitor centre is definitely worth the visit if you have the time, after all, it is included in the ticket price. The centre is full of information regarding how the cliffs were made, weather surrounding the cliffs and nature and wildlife in the area. It is also a great place to grab a quick bite to eat or purchase a souvenir.
The Walk: Cliffs of Moher day trip
The Cliffs stretch for 8km. O’Brien’s Tower is located to the right of the cliffs. You can climb the tower for an extra charge of 2 euro. The views from this point truly are breathtaking and it really is worth the walk. To the left of the cliffs lies a trail. At times this trail can get fairly narrow, however, there is an option to walk in away from the edge.
Tips and Advice:
Time Keeping: In the summer months, the Cliffs can get rather crowded, The suggested arrival time is after 4 o’clock.
Bring Some Extra Layers: It may look like a nice sunny day, but Irelands weather is unpredictable, you never know when rain will decide to show up. The Cliffs are also a magnet for windy conditions.
Plan Ahead: Check the weather before you go. The last thing you want is to arrive and not be able to see the cliffs.
Have Fun: Take some silly photos. Not many people can say they’ve visited the Cliffs of Moher.
